    Born in Hyōgo Prefecture in 1968. A writer and scholar of the history of domestic life. Holds a graduate degree from Kobe College. Her writings address such topics as food, lifestyles, and women’s ways of living. Published works include Kobayashi Katsuyo to Kurihara Harumi—Ryōri kenkyūka to sono jidai (Kobayashi Katsuyo and Kurihara Harumi—Culinary Experts and Their Era) and Uchi no gohan no 60 nen: Sobo, haha, musume no shokutaku (60 Years of Cooking in Our House: Grandmother, Mother, and Daughter at the Table).
