Aoyama Rumi

Professor at the Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies, Waseda University. Specializes in international relations and modern Chinese diplomacy. Completed her doctoral studies in law at Keiō University in 1999. Visiting researcher at Stanford University 2005–6 and George Washington University 2016–17. Her published works include Gendai Chūgoku no gaikō (The Diplomacy of Modern China), Gaikō to kokusai chitsujo (Diplomacy and the International Order), and Decoding the Rise of China: Taiwanese and Japanese Perspectives.
