Hashimoto Yoshiaki

Professor, Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies, University of Tokyo. Born in Tokyo in 1955. Received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in sociology from the University of Tokyo. Research interests include changes in communication behavior and their social impact, and the effects of media use on young people. Author of Neodejitaru neitibu no tanjō (A Birth of Neo-Digital Natives) and Media to Nihonjin—kawariyuku nichijō (Media and the Japanese: Changing Everyday Life).
