Hayakawa Hideo

Senior executive fellow, Fujitsu Research Institute. Research interests include the Japanese economy, economic policy, and financial markets and monetary policy. After earning an economics degree from the University of Tokyo, entered the Bank of Japan in 1977. While at the BOJ, was director general of the Research and Statistics Department, general manager of the Nagoya Branch, and executive director. Assumed his present position in April 2013. Received an MA in economics from Princeton University in 1985.
