Kikuchi Toshihiko

Professor emeritus at Hokkaidō University. Born in 1943. Received his doctorate in literature from Hokkaidō University, where he taught Eurasian history and archaeology. Works include Hokutō Ajia kodai bunka no kenkyū (Studies in the Ancient Cultures of Northeast Asia), Kan-Ohōtsuku-kai kodai bunka no kenkyū (Studies in Ancient Cultures Around the Sea of Okhotsk), and Ohōtsuku no kodaishi (Ancient Okhotsk History). Received the Hamada Seiryū Award in 1997.
