Professor at Rikyyō University. Born in 1964. Completed his doctorate in cultural anthropology at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York. Specializes in network society studies. Has previously been a professor at Waseda University and the University of Tokyo. Has also appeared as a news presenter and served as a specialist member on a Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications committee on information and communications.
