Kitagawa Hiromitsu

Research Fellow Emeritus, Ocean Policy Research Foundation. Born in Tokyo in 1935. Graduated from Yokohama National University, College of Engineering, Department of Naval Architecture. Joined the Ship Research Institute, Ministry of Transport (now the National Maritime Research Institute); served as head of Propulsion Performance Department, later appointed director. Served as president, Shipbuilding Research Center of Japan.
