Kōno Yoshinori

Martial arts master and scholar. Born in 1949. Studied aikidō and Kashima Shinryū before establishing his own martial arts studio in 1978. Founder of the Bujutsu Keiko Kenkyūkai (Martial Arts Training Research Association), dedicated to the revival of lost techniques. Author of Budō kara bujutsu e—Ushinawareta “jutsu” o motomete (From Budō to Bujutsu: In Search of Lost Techniques), Ken no seishin shi (Spiritual History of the Sword), and other works.
