Kubota Jumpei

Deputy director general and professor at the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN) since 2012. Received his doctorate in agriculture from Kyoto University. Formerly associate professor at the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. His fields of specialization are hydrology, forest hydrology, and erosion control. Author and editor of numerous works, including Chūō Yūrasia kankyō shi (Environmental History of Central Eurasia, 4 vols., ed.).
