• Sakurai Takamasa

    1965–2015. Producer, writer, and research professor at Digital Hollywood University. After graduating from Waseda University, he began work as a book editor at a publishing company. Later branched out to work as a producer and director of a wide range of media and events. Was involved in cultural diplomacy activities involving lectures, fashion shows, and other events that have taken him to over 130 cities, in 25 countries. Also served on expert committees for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs concerning anime-related cultural diplomacy and efforts to promote Japan's fashion-based pop culture overseas. Published works include Nihon ga suki sugiru Chūgokujin joshi (Chinese Women Who Are Crazy About Japan), Sekai kawaii kakumei (The Global "Kawaii" Revolution), and Anime bunka gaikō (Cultural Diplomacy for Anime).
