Shirota Akihisa

Currently principal at Wada Junior High School in Suginami-ku, Tokyo. Born in Nagano Prefecture, 1965. Graduated with a BA in economics from Keio University in 1990, and joined Recruit Co., Ltd. the same year. Proposed Recruit’s first education business aimed at university students and founded the Recruit Business School. After leaving Recruit, he became founding president of the Top Athlete company. In 2005, together with the writer Murakami Ryū, he launched the “Job Center for 13-Year-Olds” website, run in partnership with the publishing company Gentōsha. Has held his present position since 2008.
