Tsuruta Jun

An associate professor at the Japan Coast Guard Academy since 2009. Specializes in international law. Earned a master’s degree in 2001 from the Graduate Schools of Law and Politics of the University of Tokyo. Has published many articles in Japanese and English, including: “The Japanese Act on the Punishment of and Measures against Piracy” (published in The Aegean Review of the Law of the Sea and Maritime Law, Vol.1(2), 2011) and “Japanese Implementation of the UNCLOS: The Act on Navigation of Foreign Ships in the Territorial Sea and Internal Waters” (published in Journal of East Asia and International Law, Vol.5(1), 2012).
