Honda N-Box Wins Japan Hall of Fame’s Car of the Year (News)

Tokyo, Nov. 9 (Jiji Press)–Honda on Thursday announced its N-Box minivehicle had been selected as the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame’s 2017-2018 Car of the Year.

An official of the nonprofit JAHFA said the kei car’s traveling performance and comfort, as well as standard-equipped driver assistance systems, attracted high evaluations.

The selection was made in the voting by auto technology researchers and university professors on new vehicles and fully remodeled models put on sale between October 21, 2016, and October 20, 2017.

Swedish automaker Volvo’s S90/V90/V90 Cross Country models won the Imported Car of the Year award.

Toyota’s LC500 sports coupe of its Lexus luxury brand was named the Car Design of the Year, while Nissan’s Leaf electric vehicle won the Car Technology of the Year prize.
