Akiyama Ayano

Science writer and translator. Went freelance after working as an editor and writer for a personal computing magazine. She covers a wide range of space-related topics, including rocket and satellite projects, space exploration and policy issues, space business, and the history of outer space development. Author of works including Hayabusa: 7 nen 60 oku km no misshon kanzen kaisetsu (Hayabusa: A Complete Overview of Its Seven Year, 6 Billion Kilometer Mission) and translator of such books as Rise of the Rocket Girls by Nathalia Holt. Since April 2023 has served as an ad hoc member of a Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology Working Group on Space Development and Utilization.
