Akiyama Chika

Journalist. Born in 1980. After graduating from Waseda University, joined the Asahi Shimbun. Worked in Ōtsu and Hiroshima before covering education and other stories in Osaka and Tokyo. Went freelance in 2013. Works include Rupo hokenshitsu: Kodomo no hinkon, gyakutai, sei no riaru (From the Health Center: The Reality of Child Poverty, Abuse, and Sex) and Koseki no nai Nihonjin (Unregistered Japanese People).
