Culinary researcher. After stints as a magazine journalist and a corporate web director, founded e-food.jp in 2000, a website that features cuisines from all over the world. Works include Shirabeyō! Sekai no ryōri (Exploring World Cuisines) and the seven-volume series Nihon no yōshoku: Yōshoku kara himotoku Nihon no rekishi to bunka (Exploring Japan’s History and Culture Through Western-style Cuisine).
