Aoyama Reijirō
Research assistant professor at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Anthropologist. Earned his PhD in Japanese language and literature from Peking University. Born in 1976 in Tokyo. Taught at Fudan University and Tsinghua University, both in China, and the Community College of City University in Hong Kong before assuming his current post. Has surveyed Japanese communities in places such as Hong Kong, Shanghai and Warsaw and is researching topics including identity change among migrants and transnationalism. His writings include Sekai ni hirogaru Nihon no shokunin (Japanese Craftsmen Around the World).
