Chiba Sanae

Biological oceanographer and researcher for the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology. Received her PhD from Tokyo University of Fisheries (now Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology). Joined JAMSTEC in 2000, where she studies marine ecosystem change. Since 2016 she has worked as a senior program manager at the UN Environment World Conservation Monitoring Centre, bolstering connections between biological oceanography and marine policy.
