Freelance writer. Born in Osaka. Before becoming a writer, had stints as a factory manager, truck driver, and Japanese language teacher. Delivered goods to over 200 factories after getting her heavy vehicle license. Now writes mainly on social issues, including the blue-collar working environment, cultural differences, gender, discrimination, and defamation. Has appeared on radio and television and is an active speaker. Publications include Torakku doraibā ni mo iwasete (Ask the Truck Driver what She Thinks).
