Jōjima Mitsuru

Born 1966 in Shiga Prefecture. After graduating from Kansai University, began working as a reporter for Sankei Shimbun. Has won writing awards for his work covering the medical and sports fields. Currently a freelance writer. Author of the prizewinning Kobushi no hyōryū (The Story of Baby Gustilo) and Pinpon-san (Mr. Ping-pong). His children’s books include Niichan no randoseru (My Big Brother’s Schoolbag) and Gambare pinpon gāruzu: Hirano Miu to Itō Mima (Go Ping-pong Girls Hirano Miyu and Itō Mima).
