Kano Takuya

President, Sakebunka Institute, Inc. Born in 1959. Graduated from Keio University’s Faculty of Law in 1984. After holding different positions, including at a manufacturer of Western alcoholic beverages, founded Sakebunka Institute in 1991, becoming president in 1996. Studies, writes about, and gives lectures on drinking culture and the spirits industry. Books include (as coauthor) Sake to mizu no hanashi: Mazā wōtā (Taking about Liquor and Water: Mother Water).
