    International relations analyst. Born in 1970. At age 19 went to study in Moscow, where he witnessed firsthand the collapse of the Soviet Union in December 1991. In 1996, became the first Japanese graduate of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, an organ of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. In 1999, founded the digital journal Roshia seiji keizai jānaru (Journal of Russian Politics and Economy), which has 61,700 subscribers as of April 2022, and in 2015 was awarded the MagMag Grand Prix by the electronic news magazine MagMag, confirming it as one of Japan’s best digital publications. In 2018, left his second home of Moscow to return to Japan after 28 years. Author of several books, including Nihonjin no shiranai Kuremurin mesoddo (The Kremlin Methods Unknown to Japan), Pūchin saigo no seisen (Putin’s Final Crusade), Chūgoku ni katsu Nihon no daisenryaku (Defeating China: Japan’s Grand Strategy), Bei-Chū haken sensō no yukue (The Future of the US-China War for Hegemony), and Shin Nihonjin-dō (A New Way for the Japanese).
