Kohara Masahiro

Professor, Graduate Schools for Law and Politics, University of Tokyo. Specializes in modern Japanese diplomacy. Born in 1955. Graduated from the University of Tokyo and joined the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he held posts including deputy director general of the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau and consul-general of Japan in Sydney and in Shanghai. Assumed his current position in 2015.
