• Komine Takao

    Professor at Taishō University, specializing in the Japanese economy and economic policy. Born in 1947. After earning a degree in economics from the University of Tokyo, joined the Economic Planning Agency where he served in such positions as head of the Economic Research Institute and head of the Research Bureau. Led the National and Regional Planning Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism. Taught at Hōsei University prior to assuming his current position in 2017. Publications include Jinkō fuka shakai (Population Load Society) and Nihon keizairon kōgi (Discourse on the Japanese Economy).
