Marei Mentlein

Born in Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein. Appears regularly on NHK television and radio, where she presents German language programs. She is also an essayist and columnist in Japanese, writing a regular column in the popular Hayakawa Mystery Magazine introducing thrillers from Germany. After studying at the Himeji Shikisai High School in Hyōgo Prefecture from 1999 to 2000, and at Waseda University from 2004 to 2005, she graduated from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn in 2008.
