Nishino Yoshinori

Photographer. Born in 1969 in Osaka and graduated from Waseda University with a degree in education. After working for an advertising agency in Tokyo, he moved to Okinawa’s Ishigaki Island in 2005 and began working as a freelance photographer focusing mainly on fishing, hunting, and other aspects of the interaction between humans and the wild. His books include Ishigakijima: Ama no shigoto (Ishigaki Island: Divers and Their Livelihood), Kujira to ikiru (Living with Whales), Uminchu: Yaeyama no umi o aruku (Divers in the Sea at Yaeyama), and Kuma o utsu (Shooting Bears).
