Ōta Hiroko

Professor, National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, specializing in economic policy. Born in 1954 in Kagoshima Prefecture. Appointed professor at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in 2001. Served as a research director in the Cabinet Office and later as minister of state for economic and fiscal policy. Chaired the Council for Promotion of Regulatory Reform from 2016 to 2019.
