Owari Masahiro

Sports writer. Born in Sendai in 1964. After a stint editing Tennis Magazine, Owari began covering Formula One racing on a freelance basis in 1993. He edited GPX, an F1 bulletin, from 1998 to 2001, but returned to freelance journalism in 2002, and has since covered all F1 Grand Prix races. Owari is a contributor to F1 news bulletins, Auto Sport and the Chūnichi Shimbun. Publications include Toyota F1, saigo no ichinen (Toyota’s Last Year in Formula One Competition) and F1 zensen shuzai (Formula One: Covering It All).
