• Saitō Jun

    Senior Reseach Fellow at the Japan Center for Economic Research, where he specializes in macroeconomics, the Japanese economy, and economic policy. Earned his master’s degree from the University of Tokyo. Joined the Economic Planning Agency in 1978. Studied at the graduate level at the University of Oxford and served in such positions as economist at the International Monetary Fund and director-general for economic and fiscal analysis of the Cabinet Office. Left the government in 2012 and assumed his current position. Was also a project professor at Keiō University until 2017 and a visiting professor at International Christian University until 2021.
