After touring Japan with his camping gear on his bike in his teens, became an editor at a touring magazine in his twenties. Went freelance as a writer and editor in his forties. Now an editor-in-chief for a bike magazine, he also works on camping gear development. The Enmaku series he codeveloped with Tent-Mark Designs has become a leader in Japan’s pup tent market.
