• Sekiguchi Waichi

    An editorial writer for the newspaper Nikkei, where he serves on its editorial and op-ed committees. Joined Nikkei Inc. after graduating from Hitotsubashi University in 1982. Was a Fulbright fellow at Harvard University from 1988 to 1989. Washington correspondent for Nikkei from 1990 to 1994. After heading the newspaper’s coverage of the electronics industry, he was appointed to the editorial committee in 1996 and in 2000 also became a member of the op-ed committee, mainly handling topics related to information and communication. Has been a part-time instructor at Hosei University Business School since 2006 and at the International University of Japan’s Center for Global Communications (GLOCOM) since 2008. Published works include Pasokon kakumei no kishu tachi (Flag Bearers of the PC Revolution; 2000) and Jōhō tansaku jutsu (Information Seeking Skills; 2006)
