Takabatake Masayuki

Born in Kagawa Prefecture in 1974, Takabatake was keen on art, crafts, and science from a young age. He was crowned the “sNational Stationery Champion” on a popular TV show in 1999, 2001, and 2005, and has become widely known as Japan’s “King of Stationery.” Worked in product development and marketing at stationery manufacturer Sunstar for more than 10 years before leaving in 2012 to become an expert consultant to the company.
