Tamaki Masayuki

Sports writer and music critic. Born in 1952 in Kyoto. Studied education at the University of Tokyo. Writes about baseball and a wide variety of other sports while also appearing as a commentator on television and radio. Currently a visiting professor at Shizuoka University of Art and Culture and Ishinomaki Senshu University. Published works include Supōtsu to wa nanika (Regarding Sports), Supōtsu, taibatsu, Tokyo Orinpikku (Sport, Corporal Punishment, and the Tokyo Olympics), and Fushigi no kuni no yakyū (bēsubōru) (Baseball in Wonderland).
