Tamura Shūichi

Born in Chiba Prefecture in 1958. Studied at the Graduate School of Economics, Waseda University, but left before graduating. Has reported on soccer since 1991. He has contributed to a variety of sports publications, including leading European weekly magazine France Football. He is the only Japanese journalist with the right to vote in balloting for the prestigious Ballon d’Or, awarded to the world’s top male soccer player.
