Tanaka Hideaki

Professor, Graduate School of Governance Studies, Meiji University. Born in Tokyo in 1960. Completed the master’s program at the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1985 and joined the Ministry of Finance the same year. Later received his master’s degree (in social policy and planning) from the London School of Economics and Political Science and his doctorate (in policy studies) from the National Graduate Institute of Policy Studies. Has served in the National Tax Agency, the Cabinet Secretariat, the Cabinet Office, and other government agencies. Assumed his current post in April 2012.
