Tashiro Akira

Executive director, Hiroshima Peace Media Center, and senior staff writer, Chūgoku Shimbun. Born in 1947 on Awaji Island in Hyōgo Prefecture. Joined the Chūgoku Shimbun staff in 1972. In 1987 completed the master's program at the Tufts University Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. Author of Sensō kakusa shakai Amerika (The War on Terror and its Impact on American Society).
