At the Matsuya Ginza store, a total of some 580 dolls are on display, including those of Licca-chan and her family members and friends. According to Takara Tomy, the manufacturer of the toys, Licca is a fifth-grader with a French father called Pierre and a Japanese mother called Orie. The dolls demonstrate the popularity of past fashions, and the exhibition also includes doll houses and stores.

Over 60 million dolls in the Licca-chan series have been sold over the years, including fashionable dolls aimed at adult women.
