HondaJet Ranks Top in 2017 Global Small-Jet Shipments

Tokyo, Feb. 22 (Jiji Press)—Honda Motor Co. said Thursday that the HondaJet, manufactured by a US subsidiary, became the most delivered small jet in the world for the first time on an annual basis in 2017.

According to the Japanese firm, shipments of the Honda Aircraft Co.-made business jet grew some 87% year on year to 43 units, outpacing 39 units for the Citation M2 of Cessna Aircraft Co. of the United States.

The strong performance reflected the HondaJet's roomy cabin and high fuel efficiency, according to Honda.

"We would like to thank our customers for choosing the HondaJet for its value, features and performance," Honda Aircraft President and Chief Executive Officer Fujino Michimasa said in a statement. "We look forward to continuing to create new value in business aviation across the world."

The list price of the seven-seater plane is 4.9 million dollars.
