Politics

In May 2016, the Sasakawa Peace Foundation welcomed India’s C. Raja Mohan to Japan as part of its invitation program for Asian opinion leaders to encourage international exchange on a personal level.

The Sasakawa Peace Foundation’s Asian Opinion Leaders’ Exchange program invites Asian opinion leaders who shape policy and public opinion to Japan for dialogue and exchange with Japanese political, academic, and business specialists. The goals of the program are twofold: first, to encourage international exchange on a personal level, and second, to deepen mutual understanding and strengthen frameworks for cooperation between Japan and other Asian countries.

In May 2016, the foundation invited Dr. C. Raja Mohan, one of India’s foremost foreign policy and security specialists and the director of Carnegie India, to Japan for a series of symposia and lectures. This video shows some of Dr. Mohan’s activities while in Japan.

Going forward, the foundation will continue to promote activities, proposals, and exchange in search of new models of governance for human societies, pursuing the full variety of ideas and methods that its status as a private foundation allows.
