Japanese Rescue Workers Search for Survivors After Mexico City Earthquake (Japan in Photos)

A Japan Disaster Relief team joins in rescue efforts in Mexico City on the afternoon of September 21, 2017, after a magnitude-7.1 earthquake hit Central Mexico on September 19. Initially assigned to a collapsed apartment block in the Mexican capital’s Benito Juárez borough, the team recovered the body of a 19-year-old woman in the early hours of September 22. All members paid their respects by removing their helmets and bowing in silent prayer. The JDR team is continuing to search for survivors in other parts of the city. (© Jiji)
