Japan logs trade deficit of 1.37 trillion yen in May

Japan recorded a trade deficit of 1.37 trillion ($9.8 billion) in May, the Finance Ministry said Thursday.
Imports dropped 9.9 percent while exports rose 0.6 percent. Japan remained in the red for the 22nd straight month, according to a preliminary report by the ministry.
