Core consumer prices in Japan rose 3.3 percent in June from a year earlier, the government said Friday.
The nationwide core consumer price index, which excludes volatile fresh food items, remained above the Bank of Japan’s 2 percent target for the 15th straight month. It accelerated from the previous month’s increase of 3.2 percent.
