The U.S. central bank decided Wednesday to keep its benchmark interest rate unchanged as year-on-year inflation figures have stayed lower compared to months earlier.
The Federal Reserve said it will keep the target range of the federal funds rate at 5.25-5.50 percent following a two-day policy-setting meeting.
