URGENT: Toyota, Idemitsu to tie up in mass production tech for EV batteries

Toyota Motor Corp. said Thursday it will tie up with energy company Idemitsu Kosan Co. in technology development for mass production of all-solid-state batteries.
The agreement is part of the Japanese carmaker’s efforts to meet its goal of utilizing the next-generation batteries as early as 2027, Toyota said.
