Malaysia's top court found a popular online news site guilty of contempt Friday over comments posted by readers that were deemed offensive to the judiciary, in what is being seen as a setback for press freedom. A panel of seven judges of the Federal Court, in the 6-1 majority decision, also fined Malaysiakini 500,000 ringgit ($123,685).
