URGENT: Honda aims for all new car sales to be EVs, FCVs in 2040

Honda Motor Co. said Friday it will aim to have all its global new car sales be electric and fuel cell vehicles in 2040 as part of its drive to promote decarbonization. Honda's new president Toshihiro Mibe unveiled the plan during a press conference. EVs and FCVs are considered eco-friendly in terms of carbon dioxide emissions compared with conventional gasoline cars. FCVs are powered by hydrogen.
