Australia's competition regulator said Thursday it plans to deny approval for an agreement between Qantas Airways Ltd. and Japan Airlines Co. to coordinate flights between Australia and Japan. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said in a statement that the agreement between Qantas and Japan Airlines "combining their operations" for Japan-Australia flights breaches competition laws.
