Japan will impose a mandatory three-day quarantine period on travelers from Kazakhstan and Tunisia, the government's top spokesman said Tuesday. Starting Friday, the quarantine period for travelers from India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the Maldives will be extended from six days to 10 days, Chief Cabinet Secretary Katsunobu Kato told a press conference. The measures will apply to all new entries and returnees.
