Japan's jobless rate falls to 2.9% in June

Japan's unemployment rate fell to 2.9 percent in June from 3.0 percent in the previous month, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said Friday. The country's job availability improved to 1.13 from 1.09 in May, meaning that there were 113 jobs openings for every 100 job seekers, according to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
