URGENT: Policy moves by other central banks won't affect BOJ policy: Kuroda

The Bank of Japan's monetary policy will not be immediately affected by moves of other central banks and aggressive monetary easing needs to be maintained in Japan, Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said Friday. Even if policy tightening or interest rate hikes in the United States and Europe lead to a weaker yen, it will be positive for the Japanese economy, Kuroda said at a press conference after a two-day policy-setting meeting.
